How can I take measures?

Measures can be a circumference measure, so taken around a body part, or a length measure, so taken between two parts of the body.

Shoulders width. Measure along the back from the end of a shoulder to the other, with the metric tape parallel to the floor.

Chest. Measure chest's circumference in its wider point, the nipples, keeping the metric tape at the same height around all circumference and parallel to the floor.

Waist. Measure waist circumference in the narrower point of the chest, usually 2,5-5 cm above the navel, keeping the metric tape at the same height around all circumference and parallel to the floor.

Upper hip. Measure hip's circumference in its wider point, keeping the metric tape at the same height around all circumference and parallel to the floor.

Breast height. Measure the distance between the neck's base and the most protruding point of the breast, the nipple.

Neck-to-waist length. Measure the distance between the neck's base and the waist, the narrower point of the chest, usually 2,5-5 cm above the navel. This line should be straight and should pass through the most protruding point of the breast, the nipple.

Crotch. Measure the crotch, putting the metric tape on the navel, passing below the pubes and ending back at the corresponding height of the navel.

Arm length. Measure from the tip of the shoulder to the wrist. This measure must be taken in straight line along the outer or upper part of the arm. Keep the arm parallel to the floor.

Arm circumference. Measure the upper circumference of the arm, i.e. the biceps, that is its largest part, keeping the metric tape at the same height around the whole circumference.

Leg length. Measure the leg length starting from the waist, the narrower point of the chest, usually 2,5-5 cm above the navel, until the floor.

Thigh. Measure the circumference of the upper part of the thigh correspondent to its largest point, keeping the metric tape at the same height around the whole circumference.

Lower hip. Measure the circumference of the calves correspondent to their largest point, keeping the metric tape at the same height around the whole circumference.

Ankle circumference. Measure the circumference around the ankle correspondent to its narrower point, just above the instep and the malleolus, keeping the metric tape at the same height around the whole circumference.
